Title and Intro- Exciting,appropriate, and creative title.  Introduction creates interest by using a quotation or anecdote, etc.  It gives bkgd info and has a well written and underlined thesis that will be supported by the exhibit. Appropriate title.  Intro explains the topic to the reader with an underlined thesis statement. Topic title.  Introduction is very basic and the thesis statement is unclear. Title and/or introduction is lacking in information or missing entirely.  No underlined thesis statement.

Exhibits-each exhibit has an appropriate and informative graphic.  Each has a well written, informative paragraph as a caption with a topic sentence and numerous critical details for support. Each well written paragraph supports the thesis.  No convention errors (Proofreading) Exhibits are informative and appropriate to the topic.  Their relation to the thesis is not clear. Exhibits are appropriate but not well written and lack some important information.  The relationship to the thesis statement is vague. Exhibits lack information and/or incomplete and/or depend heavily on copying information.

Graphics-graphics are appropriate, creative, informative, visually appealing and supportive of the text.  Poster is neat, attractive, and logically arranged. Graphics are appropriate and provide added information. Graphics are appropriate to the general subject, but are not instructive. Graphics are often messy or too vague to provide information

Conclusion-Student summarizes information in an organized manner and draws insights from the research.  Summarizes the information, but draws few insights. Good summary with no real insights. Very short and inadequate.

Work Habits-student is on task at all times, uses appropriate materials, works independently of others, and asks the teacher for help when necessary. Student works quietly, but is not very productive because they don't work toward a daily goal.  Often does not seek help.  Student of sometimes off task and/or wastes time.  Student had to be warned more than once. Student is often off task and unproductive. Student had to be warned at least twice.
